TERRITORY

QUO VADIS?

Umbria is a region where the visible order of corn fields, tobacco, olive groves and vineyards usually mixes with hidden paths that lead to places where the natural disorder of the wild land still reigns. The boundary between established order and natural disorder is almost imperceptible here. In this region these two forces constantly contaminate each other giving life to landscapes full of charm and mystery. This section will offer an idea for the most curious to explore a "hidden" Umbria, often far from the most popular tourist destinations. By promoting on the one hand these hidden itineraries, and on the other those regional realities that are part of the established order such as farmhouses, hotels, artisan shops and art ateliers that with their commitment contribute day after day to making this region.

PROJECTS

In this section, users will be able to consult non-profit projects and crowdfunding campaigns selected and / or promoted by the castle, and possibly participate by directly financing the project or foundation of interest. The selection will operate on the basis of criteria such as transparency and validity of the project, analysis of externalities and economic feasibility. Projects promoted by local authorities and companies that have positive repercussions on the territory will be preferred.

BOTANICAL GARDEN

A botanical garden will be built on an area of about 700 square meters for the protection of species at high risk of genetic erosion and for their subsequent replanting in their places of origin. The garden will also have didactic functions. A germplasm (seed) bank will also be created for the conservation of these species.
